There’s a little bit of science involved in this loaf 🧪
Turmeric contains curcumin, a compound known for its anti-inflammatory properties. On its own it’s not easily absorbed into the body though.
That’s where the black pepper comes in!
Black pepper contains piperine, which increases curcumin’s bio-availability by up to 20%!
And when combined with the long fermentation in sourdough, it makes the perfect gut friendly loaf.
